Update on Wireless Access

From the Michigan Tech Lode, February 9, 2005:
"Wireless access now free for all"

As a result of increased funding, the Telecommunications Department is now offering free wireless service, or Rovernet, to the entire campus community throughout much of campus. The services, which started Jan. 3, require a WiFi certified IEE 802.11b-compliant network card, but several other more advanced cards will also work, according to Brenda Helminen, Director of Telecommunications Engineering.
