Project Overview/Goals 2011-2012

Project Description

SOAR (Student Organization for Aquatic Robotics) designs and builds underwater ROVs (remotely operated vehicles). We build them for practical uses such as our current project with the National Park Service where our ROVs are being used for zebra mussel (invasive species) mitigation on Isle Royale.

Congratulations to SOAR for being awarded FIRST PLACE in the national George and Helen Hartzog Awards for Outstanding Volunteer Service - Youth Group. Some team members are going to Washington D.C. to accept the award from the Director of the National Park Service!
