 Global energy consumption is increasing rapidly. Wile the concept of global warming is controversial; the fact that the world is dependent on fossil fuels is not. As energy increases, the availability of these non-renewable energy sources decreases, creating a need for alternative energy sources. The Renewable Energy Macro team is continuing the work of last spring on a small wind turbine capable of producing 100W to 1kW with the average wind speeds in the Houghton, MI area.
