Aqua Terra Tech was the most challenging and rewarding
experience of my college career. I began as a lowly hammer
swinger on seismic surveys and progressed to leading a multi-disciplinary
team on a geophysical report summarizing two years of work.
I discovered my strengths and exploited them to help the group. I
identified my weaknesses and was forced to turn them into strengths.
Through the experience I've become a strong and confident person
and I feel ready to take on the coming challenges of graduate school.

"Aqua Terra Tech is an environment that unifies the many facets of life,
going beyond education... way beyond..."

Currently I am a project engineer for Applied Technologies, Inc -
Engineers and Architects in Brookfield, WI. I primarily help with the
design and construction of wastewater treatment plants for Industrial clients.
The systems I have designed include technology such as Anaerobic
digesters, pre-acidification tanks/ponds, DAF units, biogas use/handling,
I have also conducted two dye studies and modeled a water
distribution system using EPANET (which I never thought I was going
to use again after ATT).

Aqua Terra Tech has been probably the single most rewarding
experience for me at Michigan Tech. I gained great technical
knowledge and experience as well as confidence and leadership.
It has opened doors to jobs and grad school opportunities. I
really feel that the science and engineering projects on which
we worked will truly benefit the greater good for humanity and
the environment. It was amazing to travel to Nicaragua! I
really feel that one of the great benefits was working with
other related disciplines, and cultivating a shared vision.
Most of all, it has been FUN! And our advisor is the best ever.
